According to the Fort Wayne News of January 4, 1917, she was an Alumna of "St Mary of the Woods", Terre Haute, Indiana. She was a capable pianist and appeared regularly in the social pages of the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette. For example, on St Bridget's Day, Feb 1st 1916, she was on the bill for a Piano Solo at St Patrick's Lyceum, at the corner of Butler and Harrison Streets (link below). It was organised by the Ladies Auxiliary of the AOH. On Sept 11, 1918, there was a notice in the Fort Wayne News and sentinel to the effect that Miss Margaret Foohey "is leaving tonight for Washington D.C., where she has taken a government position. (TO'S Mar 2013)
