In common with many others, her age in the census of 1901 is not consistent with the date of her baptism.
In general, there was a tendency to understate ages in that census. In the next Census (1911) the pattern was the opposite, due to the introduction of certain pensions, where being older was useful. TOS
In the 1911 census, Kate was aged 49 and still living as a widow in
Little Frederick (O'Curry) Street.
